Eddie Redmayne
Actor Eddie Redmayne graduated from Cambridge University in 2003, winning Best Newcomer at The Evening Standard Theatre Awards in 2004, and Best Newcomer, Critic’s Circle Theatre Awards in 2005. Since then he has gone on to work prolifically in both theatre and film. In 2015 he won the Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role, for ‘The Theory of Everything’. That year he also won Best Actor at the BAFTA Awards, the Golden Globe Awards, and at the SAG Awards, for Outstanding Male Actor in a Leading Role, for ‘The Theory of Everything’. In 2016 he was an Academy Award Nominee, for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role, for ‘The Danish Girl’. He was also a BAFTA Nominee, and Golden Globe Nominee for Best Actor for the same film that year. In 2011 he received a Critic’s Circle Theatre Award for Best Shakespearean Performance for the title role in ‘Richard II’, at The Donmar Warehouse. In 2010 he was a TONY Award Winner, Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Play, for ‘Red’. He also won the Olivier Award Winner 2010, for Best Actor in a Play for ‘Red’.
