Sinéad Cusack
Sinéad Cusack is an award winning actress, renowned for her extensive career both on stage and screen. She began her theatrical career at The Abbey Theatre, Dublin, before joining the Royal Shakespeare Company.
Theatre includes: ‘Tree’ at The Young Vic, ‘King Lear’ at Duke of York’s Theatre, ‘Stitchers’ at Jermyn Street Theatre, ‘King Lear’ at Chichester Festival, ‘Splendour’ at Donmar Warehouse, ‘Our Few & Evil Days’ at Abbey Theatre (Winner Irish Times Theatre Award Best Actress), ‘Other Desert Cities’ at Old Vic Theatre, ‘Juno and the Paycock’ at National and Abbey Theatre, ‘Rock ’n’ Roll’ at Royal Court (Olivier Award & Tony Award Nominee for Best Actress in a Play), ‘The Birds’ at The Gate, ‘The Cherry Orchard’ and ‘The Winter’s Tale’ at The Bridge Project. Sinéad has also played many leading roles for the RSC, including in ‘Antony and Cleopatra’, ‘Macbeth’, ‘The Taming of the Shrew’ (Olivier Award Nominee Best Actress in a Revival), ‘The Merchant of Venice’, ‘As You Like It’ (Winner Clarence Derwent Award & Nominee Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role), ‘Measure for Measure’, ‘The Maid’s Tragedy’ (Olivier Award Nominee, Best Actress in a Revival), ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ (Tony Award Nominee Best Actress) and ‘Cyrano de Bergerac’. Her performance in ‘Our Lady of Sligo’ at the National Theatre was nominated for an Olivier Award & on Broadway she won The Evening Standard & Critics’ Circle Awards for Best Actress, & an Olivier nomination.
